Afgang 2023: Andreas Toftemark

After years of studying in Amsterdam, New York, and more recently Paris and Berlin, Andreas Toftemark is now ready to end his European Jazz Master studies with a concert at RMC. Andreas will be presenting original compositions for Jazz 6'tet, bringing jazz arranging into a current context, with a touch of modern spiritual jazz.

With this project, my aim is to create new and exciting music that draws inspiration from more traditional writing, while also pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz, It's the first time that I've written multiple pieces of music for a larger ensemble. I'm looking forward to presenting the project for an audience
