About visits

To a limited extent, the Conservatory can receive visits from/organises guided tours for interested persons from other educational institutions, folk high schools, et cetera.

RMC visits have three target groups (usually 8-15 people):

Group 1: Universities and colleges

  • Music academies, partners
  • Music academies, other
  • Universities with relevant study programmes and/or research
  • Artistic study programmes with relevant interdisciplinary aims

Group 1 may be offered individually-planned visits on request, in accordance with the objectives of the visit. A visit may include a presentation of the Conservatory, study programmes, observation of teaching, guided tour, et cetera.

Group 2: Secondary education with music specialization

  • Preparatory class for conservatories (MGK)
  • Upper secondary school with music profile
  • Folk high school with music profile
  • Boarding school with music profile
  • Talent lines of the music schools

Group 2 may be offered a fixed visit package on request, consisting of a presentation of the Conservatory’s study programmes, followed by a guided tour. A group size of usually min. 8 and max. 15 students is assumed. Larger groups can be offered a visit with a presentation but without a tour.

Group 3: Other educational institutions

  • Upper secondary schools with music at A-level
  • Boarding schools with music line
  • Music schools
  • Elementary schools

RMC does not normally receive visits from institutions in group 3. However, under special circumstances, the Conservatory may decide to accept a visit.

Parking

The parking spaces at RMC at Eik Skaløes Plads are reserved for the employees at the schools and their guests. A parking permit must therefore be picked up at the reception. Please note that there are very few parking spaces.

Public transport

Bus 2A from Copenhagen Central Station stops around 50 metres from the main entrance to the Conservatory.

Water buses 991 and 992 berth at the Opera, approximately 100 metres from the Conservatory’s main entrance.
