Project

COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION AS PROJECT WORK

By Peter Danstrup (former employee)

The project comprises a study of the educational guidelines and frameworks for the written reporting of artistic research teaching (KUV) in the MA programmes of the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. Through the reporting of Danstrup’s own artistic development project, ‘Reptiles in the Sky’, the actual implementation of the composition project is described, from score to recording, mixing, mastering, publishing and public relations.

Along the way, Danstrup reflects on the supplementary process guidance that he and his colleagues have provided for the students.

Finally, the relationship between artistic research and written work is discussed, with reference to artistic research teaching at the academies of music.
