Admission: Sound Technology (ST)Requirements If you wish to apply for the Sound Technology programme you must have a well developed musical ear and good skills in music technology. You must have good skills in communication and social interaction as you will have to work professionally with all kinds of artists and other music business professionals in often rather stressful situations.
Who can sit the entrance examination? Based on the submitted applications we select a number of applicants for the entrance examination. Usually only 12-16 applicants are admitted to the entrance examination.
What are the criteria for assessing your application?
- The artistic quality of the productions you have submitted, including their level of originality, creativity, and how your production choices support the music.
- The technical quality of the productions you have submitted, including level, frequency, panning, dynamics, the use of effects etc.
- Your experience with sound technology
- Your professional and educational goals
Dates for the entrance examination The entrance examination will take place in one day in week 3.
The examination is held with a view to beginning studies in August of the next academic year.
If you are selected to attend the entrance examination, you will receive an email on the Monday in week 2, confirming the date and time of your entrance examination.
Illness In the event of illness, you must provide a medical certificate if you want to appear for a postponed examination. Dates for postponed examinations will be determined at the discretion of the conservatory, and you will be notified of such dates as soon as possible. Postponed examinations will not be available at other times.
Entrance examination language The entrance examination for the Sound Technology programme is normally conducted in Danish. However, English is optional for non-Danish applicants.
