Entrance Examination: Sound Technology (ST)Form and content The entrance examination consists of:
A. A practical mixing session (20 minutes). A piece of music of 3-4 minutes duration of up to 24 tracks, is required to be mixed to 2 track DAT.
B. A personal interview (15 minutes) where you are given the opportunity to elaborate on your professional goals and your motivation for applying for the programme.
It will not be possible for you to play musical examples during the interview.
What are the criteria for assessing your entrance examination?
The mixing session and the interview are given a combined assessment.
The assessment is based on: - Your written application
- The submitted productions
- Your performance at the mixing session
- Your interview
Assessment criteria: - The artistic and technical qualities of the mix from the mixing session
- Your potential in artistic development
- Your work experience
- Your visions for your future profession
- Your motivation for applying for the programme
Admission after the entrance examination Based on the results from the entrance examination, the best qualified applicants will be offered admission to the programme. If several applicants are equally qualified, the conservatory may take the needs of the music industry into account when selecting the candidates for the programme.
Usually four students are admitted to the programme. As the number of student places in the programme is limited, the conservatory may reject candidates who have passed the entrance examination.
Within one month of the entrance examination, you will receive a letter indicating whether you have been accepted to the programme or not. |
