Admission: Music Management (MM)

Requirements

 

In addition, we recommend – though it is not a requirement – that you master maths on a level equivalent to level B under the Danish education system.


Who will sit the entrance examination?


Based on the submitted applications we select a number of applicants who are offered to attend the entrance examination. Usually, one out of three applicants taking the entrance examination will be admitted to the programme.

What are the criteria for assessing your application?

  • Your knowledge of the music industry
  • Your ability to reflect and to communicate in writing
  • Your work experience from the music industry or other relevant business areas
  • Your professional and educational goals


Entrance examination date


The examination will take place in one day in week 3.


All examinations are held with a view to beginning studies in August of the next academic year.


If you are selected to attend the entrance examination, you will receive an email on the Monday in week 2, confirming the date and time of your entrance examination.


Illness


If you fail to appear for the entrance examination due to illness or for some other reason, it will not be possible to appear for a make-up examination.

 
Examination language


The entrance examination for the Bachelor in MM can be conducted in Danish or English.

To apply to the Music Management programme, you must have completed an upper secondary school education (General Certificate of Secondary Education, Higher Preparatory Examination, Higher Commercial Examination, Higher Technical Examination), or provide documentation for equivalent qualifications. No exceptions are made from this requirement.

Application

When applying for Music Management, you must submit:

  • A filled in and signed application form (see www.musikuddannelser.dk).
  • CV in which you state your educational background and relevant work experience (paid as well as unpaid). (Max 1 A4 page)
  • An essay about the Danish music business. (Max 1 A4 page)
  • Copies of certificates and recommendations (if you have some).
  • Receipt for paid application fee.

Do not enclose CDs, press cuts etc., as they will not be included in the assessment.

Everything must be submitted in 4 copies no later than 1 December at 12:00 noon CET.
