Audition: Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (APD) - Performance (instrumental/vocal)

Form and content

  • Concert audition with music of your own choice (maximum 20 minutes)
  • Interview on the basis of the performance as well as your written application (maximum 20 minutes, excluding the examiners’ deliberation time).

Admission after the audition

On the basis of the concert performance, the interview and the written application the admissions board will give an overall assessment of the applicant’s qualifications for starting on the programme. The assessment will include the following criteria:

  • The artistic qualities of the concert, including level of originality, creativity, emotional and contemporary qualities, etc.
  • The instrumental proficiency exhibited at the concert, including elements such as the level of interaction with the accompanying group, instrument technique, improvisation etc.
  • Your written application, including motivation, educational and professional goals, the artistic and professional perspectives of the projects proposed in the application, etc.
  • Your ability to analyze your own professional practices, artistic and cultural context etc.

Usually, one or two students will be admitted to the programme. As the number of student places is very limited, Rhythmic Music Conservatory may reject candidates who have passed the audition.

By April 1 at the latest, you will receive a letter indicating whether you have been accepted to the programme or not. If you have not been admitted, you will be offered a commented review of your test results.
