Admission: Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (APD)

Requirements

To apply for RMC’s Advanced Postgraduate Diploma programme in Performance (instrumental/vocal) or Composition, you must hold a Master degree in contemporary music from a conservatory, or have equivalent qualifications.

Who will be offered to attend an audition?

Based on the submitted applications the conservatory decides which applicants will be offered to attend an audition.

Date for the auditions

The scheduled audition date for the APD programme is:

  • Week 4

Auditions are held with a view to beginning studies in August of the next academic year.

If you are selected for an audition, you will receive aa email of confirmation approximately three weeks before the audition stating the time and date of the tests.

Illness

In the event of illness in connection with the audition, you must provide a medical certificate if you want to appear for a make-up examination. Dates for make-up examinations will be determined at the discretion of the conservatory, and you will be notified of such dates as soon as possible.  Appearing for a make-up examination at other times will not be possible.

Audition in English

Please note that the auditions for the APD programme will always be conducted in English.

 

Application
When applying for the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma, you must submit:

  • A filled in and signed application form (see www.musikuddannelser.dk).
  • Proof of previous higher education.
  • Performance (instrumental/vocal): 5 numbers on audio CD.
  • Composition: 5 compositions on audio CD and the scores or other relevant documentation.
  • Receipt for paid application fee.

Everything must be submitted in 4 copies no later than 1 December at 12:00 noon CET.
